Council Tax - 56% hike in 6 years

Between them the Tory councils in Chelmsford (Essex County Council) and Basildon (Basildon District Council) have increased the council tax for local people by 56%.

This year's increases are as follows:

Essex 1.9% increase

Basildon 3.79% increase

Essex Police 4.93% increase

Essex Fire 3.76% increase
